Pool Dice (Combat, Magic, Control, Hacking, if that's what they were called), can be added to relevant tests, but your pool is a static number that has to refresh. Unlike SR4+, your Quickness or other stats won't factor in. If you have Firearms: 6, you'll roll 6 dice when you shoot at people. Generally, your skill rolls will just be your skill dice.
